A pet sitter often comes to your home or takes care of your pet at her home. Boarding your dog or cat instead, gives you certain advantages.

What is the difference between doggy day care and dog boarding?

Our doggy day care clients stay with us only for the day and do not spend the night at the boarding kennel. They are still included in fun actvities such as walks, obedience and leash training, play pen time and cuddles.

What are the pick up and drop off times for doggy day care?

We offer 24/7 pick up and drop off for your convenience. Doggy day care is for boarding dogs who do not stay over night. We also offer pick up and drop off services in Valleyview (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and DeBolt (Tuesday, Thursday).

What do I need to bring for doggy day care and dog boarding?

Depending on the duration of your dog's stay with us, pack some food, chewy treats and toys if you wish. You can also bring your pet's favorite blanket.

How far in advance do I need to book for dog day care?

It is always good to book in advance to ensure we have a spot for your dog. You can check our availability calendar here. However, we do accept same day bookings as long as we have room. Just give us a call or drop by! Our doggy day care and dog boarding team is always happy to help.

How can I check on my dog while away?

During dog daycare and dog boarding, we will send you picture and video updates of your furry friend as often as you wish. Doggy day care includes a lot of fun activities for your dog and we love to share this with you wherever you are.

What vaccinations are necessary to board my pet?

For the health and safety of all of the animals at Wild Forest Adventures we require up to date vaccinations against Rabies, Canine Distemper, Parvo and Bordatella for dogs and FVRCP and Rabies for cats. This also includes doggy day care clients.

How much exercise will my dog get while boarding?

An active dog is a happy dog. Therefore, we offer daily play and social time, walks and obedience excerises for our boarding dogs.

Can my pet be on a raw food diet while boarding?

Yes! We can store any amount of raw food in our desiganted pet food freezer.

What happens if my pet gets sick during boarding?

In the event that your pet gets sick during boarding or doggy day care we will always act in its best interest. We will notify you as the owner first to determine the best course of action and, if needed, we will take your pet to the closest veterinary facility.

How can I check up on my pet while I am away?

We understand that leaving your pet is not easy, having experienced this particular anxiety ourselves. Therefore, we know how important it is for you to receive regular updates on your fury friend. You can either call, text or email us and we are always happy to send you pictures and updates.

How can I pay for dog daycare and dog boarding?

We accept cash, e-transfer and all major credit and debit cards. Both doggy day care and dog boarding rates need to be paid in full when droping off your dog.

What is the difference between pet boarding and pet sitting?

First, our boarding kennel is carefully designed to host dogs, cats and other pets. You can be sure, there is nothing in your pet's kennel that he should not touch, chew or pee on. In addition, it ensures that your pet can spend as much time outside as it wants. Finally, our boarding kennel is secure even for the most creative escape artists. Second, our staff is trained to handle all kinds of pets and any kind of situation such as emergency vet visits. You can rely on our experience to keep your pet healthy, safe and happy.

Our play pen is a safe and secured area to have some fun! We take small groups of dogs that get along well to play under supervision at all times. We can also spoil your pet with a professional massage. Please let us know when you book if you are interested in any of the above mentioned activities. Doggy day care clients will also be part of these activities, depending on their time of arrival and departure.

How much exercise will my dog get while boarding?

What do I need to bring when I board my dog with you?

You can also bring your pet's favorite blanket or something that smells like you. You do not need to bring water and food dishes. As mentioned before, we can provide food for your pet, but we recommend that you bring your own to avoid stomach aches.
